Paul Worsteling
Paul is arguably one of Australia’s most recognisable anglers, and one of our longest-standing ambassadors! Host of the popular iFish TV show, Paul has been at the forefront of promoting the sport of fishing and inspiring anglers of all ages and abilities since he was just a teenager. When you’re spending as much time on the water as Paul is, the best fishing sunglasses are critical for both protection from cancer-causing UV, and for cutting out the glare and seeing through the surface of the water for the best possible fishing experience. We got the tips of the trade from this Aussie fishing icon!
What are your top 3 spots to go fishing?
My favourite fishing spots would have to be Port Phillip Bay, New Zealand and Aitutaki, Cook Islands!
What is your favourite species to catch?
Swordfish because they are the ultimate fish! But also Bonefish for the speed and the environment, and Brown Trout on the fly because that is the essence of fishing!
What is your favourite style of fishing?
I love them all, as long as I have a rod in my hand!
Most memorable fishing catch?
It's hard to pick just one. Catching 42 Sailfish in 5 hours off the WA coast with my wife Cristy and friends was pretty special though!
What inspires you to fish?
It’s addictive and I get to spend time with amazing, like-minded people.
What are your favourite pair of Spotters?
