For Joel, life on the water is about the thrill of the unknown.
“I love targeting specific fish, using hard learned lessons to find that species,” he says. “But the ocean always keeps you on your toes.”
Some days, the ocean gives exactly what you expect. “Sometimes I reel in exactly what I aim for.” Other times, it has its own surprises. “Other times it’s a grinner. Days like today, you can catch a hundred of them. But it can be a delightful surprise as well.”
It’s that unpredictability, that constant chance, that makes every trip feel alive. “Always rolling the dice,” Joel explains.
Out there, with the wind on your face and the water all around, every cast, every reel, every moment is about being present, learning, and enjoying the ride.
